Lecturer and researcher on Clinical Linguistics at the University of Oviedo, where she is the coordinator of the joint research program of the Neurology Service of the HUCA Central University Hospital and the General Linguistics area for the study of the linguistic deficit of right-hemisphere damaged patients. Member of the LOGIN research group (Language Disorders and Child Language), where she works on the analysis of the pragmatic profiles in genetic syndromes in the context of the SYNDROLING project. She has also an appointment as a member of the CHROMOLANG research group (Chromosomopathies and Language) at the University of Seville, where she studies the linguistic deficits of children with low-prevalence chromosomal abnormalities, collaborating in the design of individualized intervention strategies. Author of the PREP-R (Revised Rapid Pragmatic Evaluation Protocol), an instrument designed to allow clinicians an efficient evaluation of the pragmatic skills of people with language impairment. She is also the author of the PREP-CORP, adapted to analyze speech corpora and to contribute to the design of specific language interventions on social communication skills. She has been a visiting researcher at the Clinical Linguistics Group of the University of Valencia and at the Neuroscience and Aphasia Research Unit (NARU) of the University of Manchester.
