Las vírgenes Hiperbóreas: Tradición Ritual y Creación Poética

Abstract

El objetivo de este estudio es analizar los ritos que aparecen en el mito de las vírgenes hiperbóreas, acudiendo a las fuentes principalmente literarias e historiográficas y otros testimonios, y dando importancia a la etapa primera del mito en la que las vírgenes y las diosas son las protagonistas. El culto de las ofrendas vincula a estas doncellas con Leto, Ilitía, Ártemis, Deméter, Apolo y Delos, la isla sagrada de su destino

The purpose of this study is to analyze the rites that appear in the myth of the hyperborean virgins, going to the mainly literary and historical sources and other evidence, and giving importance to the first stage of the myth that virgins and goddesses are the protagonists.
