La expresión de la identidad cultural en las obras de escritores italo-quebequeses

Abstract

The presence of immigrants from Italy in Quebec literature is the starting point for analysing the possible transcultural links that they set up. We have selected the works of three writers: Marco Micone, Tiziana Beccarelli Saad and Rita Amabili- Rivet, belonging to the so-called «immigrant literature». Their comparison leads us to conclude that the search for a cultural space of their own is a recurring element in this specific context, where the notion of identity, which has always been problematic, must be reconstructed.
