Biografía

Andrés Meana Fernández is Assistant Professor in the Thermal Machines and Engines Area at the University of Oviedo. After graduating from a M.Sc. in Industrial Enginering and a M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, he finished his PhD on Energy and Process Control (cum laude - extraordinary PhD award) under a Training of University Professors (FPU) scholarship. He also has a M.Sc. in Education from the International University of La Rioja. His main research areas deal with Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Sources. He has a high drive for teaching-learning improvement, and is currently leading the "Flexergy" group at the Medialab University Laboratory. He has worked in the industry for Arcelor Mittal in R&D activities, and has been more than 15 months in other R&D international centers.
