Resumen:
Contemporary critical discourses such as gender studies, historiographic metafiction, intertextuality, spatial history and new historicism, among many other significant approaches, have contributed to the creation of new and productive alleys of significance and knowledge. This volume brings together seventeen essays that approach the field of English Studies from an interdisciplinary perspective and establish dialogues and synergies between literature and its cultural and linguistic counterparts. The volume presents challenging and innovative examples of current research on themes and aspects within the philological field that have been traditionally located at the fringes of academic knowledge and scholarship yet absolutely necessary in order to consolidate a cartography of "the insignificant".
