Factibilidad e impacto del uso de pulseras de actividad para la promoción de la actividad física en personas a tratamiento por uso de alcohol

Introducción: Las pulseras de registro de actividad, wearables, podrían ser utilizadas como herramienta de promoción de la salud en tratamientos residenciales de personas con trastorno por uso de sustancias (TUS). El objetivo fue examinar la factibilidad, aceptabilidad y el efecto de las wearables para fomentar cambios en la actividad física (AF) en estos contextos. Método: 13 voluntarios en tratamiento residencial para el alcohol portaron diariamente un dispositivo Fitbit Versa 3, se registran kcal/día y pasos/día a lo largo de 4 semanas. Se utilizó ANOVA y prueba t de muestras relacionadas para analizar los efectos del tiempo en la AF. Resultados: Tasas de finalización (81,25%), portabilidad (87,54%) y satisfacción (4,15/5) altas. En el transcurso del tiempo se observa un decremento de AF; disminución de las Kcal/día (F(2;24) = 6,810; p<0,05; η² = 0,362), y de los pasos/día (F(2;24) = 8,837; p<0,05; η² = 0,424). No se encuentran diferencias significativas pre-post en AF autoinformada. Conclusiones: Los wearables parecen factibles y aceptables en estos contextos. Los hallazgos en AF son más limitados; se propone extender los periodos de toma de datos, intervenciones personalizadas y asegurar el feedback.
