dc.description.abstract | In this paper, the detection of a passive UHF RFID tag is analyzed when the tag is located inside a metallic cylindrical pipe. By modeling the pipe with a cylindrical waveguide, it is possible to relate the tag detection with the propagation of a TE or TM mode inside the guided structure.
