La percepción de la figura del conquistador en textos hispanoamericanos de los siglos XVIII y XIX

Abstract

El trabajo presentado trata de acercarse al tratamiento dado, en textos del siglo XVIII y primeras décadas del XIX, a la figura del conquistador de América, con ánimo de mostrar las variadas interpretaciones que los autores americanos (fueran españoles de origen o criollos) dieron del ente que cambió la configuración política y cultural del continente.; This paper aims to approach the way the figure of the conquistador was dealt with in 18th and early 19th-century texts, in order to show the various interpretations that South-American authors (whether Spanish in origin or creoles) gave to the figure that changed the political and cultural makeup of the continent.
