Resumen:
The convergence of semantics and neurolinguistics presents a compelling avenue for inquiry, one that promises to deepen our understanding of language processing mechanisms. This undergraduate thesis endeavours to explore the interplay between these disciplines, with the overarching goal of elucidating the neural underpinnings of semantic comprehension and production, particularly within the context of the English language. The primary objective of this thesis is to establish a cohesive framework that bridges the gap between semantics and neurolinguistics, shedding light on how semantic processes in the brain influence language functions in the English language. Through a comprehensive review of existing literature and empirical investigations, this study seeks to elucidate the intricate connections between semantic representation and neural activation patterns.
