dc.description.abstract | This work applies vibration analysis to characterize the nominal working conditions of a three stages eccentric press used in a hot forging process. The characterization is successfully achieved through the analysis of time-domain features, frequency-domain features, and envelope analysis. The origin of each of the recorded vibration signals is studied, and the advantages of different frequency filters and sensor locations is discussed. Finally, a monitoring strategy for the forging process is proposed. | |
