In this thesis, a multi-domain induction machine model is developed. To get to the final model, the modeling process goes through several steps, with different levels of complexity. First the single-phase equivalent circuit of the induction machine is analyzed, without and with the iron losses equivalent resistor. After, a dynamic model is implemented, also with the option of to consider or not the iron losses. Then, in a different physical domain, a thermal model is implemented through a lumped parameters thermal circuit, that can simulate the temperature in different parts of the motor during the simulation, interacting with the electrical domain through the changes in the values of resistances, depending on the temperature. After all, some online parameter estimation methods were reviewed and one of them were implemented, and validated with simulations.spa
