Ignacio Rodriguez Larrad received his Ph.D. degree in Wireless Communications from Aalborg University, Denmark, in 2016. He worked at the same institution until 2022, where he was leading the 5G for Industries Research Group. In the period 2014-2022, he was also an External Research Engineer with Nokia Bell Labs, where he was involved in Industrial IoT research and the development of several 3GPP and ITU-R standards targeting 5G deployment scenarios. Ignacio is currently a Ramón y Cajal Research Fellow at University of Oviedo, Spain, working at the THIN5G Lab. His research interests are mainly related to radio propagation, ultra-reliable low-latency communications, low-power wide-area networks, non-terrestrial networks, and industrial IoT.
