dc.description.abstractThis work presents the design of a shaped-beam reflectarray working in dual circular polarization (CP) with an isoflux pattern for global Earth coverage. The dual-CP capabilities are achieved using a unit cell based on a linear polarization (LP) Jerusalem cross plus an integrated LP-to-CP polarizer. Surrogate models based on support vector regression of the unit cell for several angles of incidence are trained and used in a direct layout optimization to obtain the design of the reflectarray that produces the desired shaped beam.spa
