dc.description.abstractIn this study, we propose a method based on the Intersection Approach to create near-field patterns for transmitarray antennas. Initially, we describe a model for calculating the amplitude and phase of the electric field in the near-field region and validate by comparison with full-wave simulations. We then present the proposed phase-only synthesis algorithm. Utilizing fast Fourier transforms, this algorithm iteratively searches for a viable aperture phase profile fulfilling the near-field pattern constraints. We apply this method to create a transmitarray that produces a near-field shaped pattern on a plane parallel to the aperture. Lastly, we discuss the effects of uniform phase quantization on the near-field pattern shape and peak amplitude.spa
